We put on a hair/makeup/fashion show at school. The theme was the elements of earth... the first pic is of fire! (my favorite out of this is the girl on the left... her hair felt like leafs, it was so smooth, its cool to see what people can do with just a can of hairspray and a hair straightener)
this was water (my fav out of these was the ice princess.. we all laughed that she had too much glitter on her lips to be able to smile.. so that was her happy face all night)
earth (my fav is the girl in the middle.. her hair symbolizes a tree)
infinity (i dont think that was an earth element but ok).. my fav is the girl in the middle.. they made her hair look like dreadlocks which is very hard to do.. i felt bad for her when they were trying to wash and comb that out though)
and my group was air! i helped with her hair.. but my amazing friends helen and mickie really pulled it off! she looked amazing.
and i made her dress (you know when the wind blows and theres trash blowing around? well that was my inspiration for her)
the 2 girls to the right- there dresses were made out of pillow cases that we found at DI.
we all had so much fun, and everyone did a great job. all the money from the show went towards an organization that provides clean drinking water for other countries. our grand total of money raised (from a walkathon, garage sale, and the hair show) is around $7,000.
